雖然黎力基牧師失去一位好朋友，但他

仍 然 努 力 工 作， 於1860 年 在 西 營 盤

建 築 了 一 所 禮 拜 堂， 稱 為「 四 角 樓 」。

同時，黎力基師母在禮拜堂旁邊開辦了

一間女子學校，讓當時貧窮的孩子有機

會進學校讀書。

Although Rev. Lechler had lost a good
friend, he continued to work hard. In
1860, he built a church in Sai Ying Pun,
which was called “The House
With Four Corners”. At the
same time, his wife founded
a girls’ school beside the
church, which provided
education for poor girls.
